Our world was blessed by a new wonder last night, a baby girl. At seven pounds and fourteen ounces she announced her presence to the world with a loud squall….
Twenty and a half inches of shear girl power, I can hardly wait to see her in person!
All participants are healthy and very happy, though tired.
Becoming a grandfather is a new feeling for me, one I will cherish right along side of the births of my two sons. The proud father was in attendance for the birth, and was as awe inspired as I was when I saw him for the first time.
Her proud daddy had more sense than his proud dad did… I hauled him out to show him off only to be dragged back in the room by a scolding nurse, politely informing me that they were not done with him yet. Hey she handed him to me, I thought I could show him the world….

The winners of Accentuate Services “Reality” Theme contest were announced Friday afternoon.
First place was filled by Lindsay Maddox.
Second place went to Terrie Schultz.
There were three thirds awarded
Chris Williamson, Robert Arend, and Gillian. I am unable to find Gillian’s last name to announce it, my apologies for that.
Congratulations to all these fine authors! I am looking forward to reading their stories when the book is in hand, and anticipate many more from each of them.

Michy, announced the winners of the Accentuate Services short story contest’s “reality” theme tonight.
I will be giving a complete list of all the winners tomorrow here on the blog. Congratulations to all of them!
I am honored to have been given the editor’s pick on my own story, and will be included in the anthology that will go to print in December I believe, I will have to check the date to be sure but December is sticking in my mind at this point.
Until tomorrow,

The random act of kindness day is a very special event indeed, inspired by the love of a mother for a baby whom she was never able to hold.
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1659687/please_honor_my_baby_on_april_20th.html
I can in no way imagine having to make that decision! All of our love and thoughts will be centered on Rissa, and her baby, on the 20th of each April for as long as my thoughts are mine to give. Please join us on this day and help make the world a better place.

I don’t know how many of you realize that Panama City is the Spring Break Capitol of the world, but it’s true and it is starting as we speak.
It is still early yet, but the beach is getting crowded and the streets are slowing down anywhere that is near water….
By the end of next week Front Beach Drive will only move at a crawl as swim wear clad people walk across the street to get to the next party.
An army of security guards try in vain to keep the peace as the revellers proceed to liven the beach up with all types of self made entertainment.
Actually the officials do a pretty good job of containing the party goers and things seldom end in disaster.
Traffic accidents caused by scantily clad youths, frolicking along the beach roads, are seldom serious due to the crawling pace of traffic.
Lots of fun is had by all who attend, hangovers are optional….

My mother had a pacemaker installed yesterday afternoon, she is doing well and recovering nicely!
She has some discomfort at the surgical site and has to wear a sling to immobilise the site, but she is doing well.
Hopefully I will return to more of a normal schedule tomorrow.
