Pet Warnings II

Published by thomasforthe at 12:55 pm under Humor Edit This

Continuing on with yesterdays theme, or why an odor eater would make Misty disappear….

Misty, our newest addition, has a gas problem. She gets the farts! She curls up in your lap so cute and cuddly, and rips one that will peel the paint right under your nose!

She refuses to be “scratch” trained to the scratching post, greatly preferring my desk as the perrrfect spot for claw sharpening.

She sleeps all day, saving her energy for nighttime, the perrrfect time for experimenting on her human test subjects with evil kitty intent bouncing about the room in a frenzy and getting into anything and everything, causing massive noise to see if we are awake and then playing “kill the human” at the most inopportune moments. If you move your foot, you run the risk of losing it!

If all else fails, and you are nearly asleep, Char or Bear (the dogs)will take a few minutes to open our door and try and sneak in to join the fun.

Bear has to be near Jo and no amount of scolding or pleading will stop her. A lion stalking a gazelle has nothing on this dog when it comes to patience. She can move four feet in forty minutes, as silently as a master ninja, trying to sneak past when she knows she is not supposed to. Sometimes all I see is the black blur when she is successful, timing her lunge to coincide with being just at the end of my peripheral vision. She can push open a door in much the same manner as well.

If we had a cat door, Fred would make it sound like a card in the spokes of a bicycle wheel, his only thought is getting to the other side of the door so he can repeat the process. Since we don’t have a cat door, I sometimes feel like a doorman, with only one purpose in life. Actually, between the dogs and Fred that door gets an awful lot of use, maybe I should get a uniform!
