Lovin’ the Internet!

Published by thomasforthe under Humor Edit This

When was the last time you opened up some snail mail and had a video pop out? I remember as a child receiving mail and being happy to get it, but the Internet has vastly improved what can come in my virtual mail box.

Sure there is still junk mail to be found and more of it, but it is easy enough to delete. With today’s spam filters even less manages to sneak in and annoy me.

I can keep up with family across the country without the news being ancient history by the time it arrives. Unless of course you are my father and don’t own a computer.

It is a strange feeling to be reminded of what a cramp in the hand feels like by reverting to that seeming Jurassic age of paper and pen. Hand writing letters is becoming a lost art and destined to be forgotten.

When the archaeologists of the future dig us up, they will be scratching their heads trying to figure out what all the little boxes with wires running everywhere and connecting to other little boxes were for. If there technology is vastly removed from ours they may have a problem….

Personally I doubt that anything we have today would last nearly as long as the pyramids have. We may leave less information than they did, writing on rock is also a lost art form.
