Don’t try to build a Dock

Published by thomasforthe at 9:38 am under Uncategorized Edit This

I promise, no rants today about employment adds…

What a week I was having, I finished two short stories, got a really nice comment or two on them. Finished off the first week of full blogs, added a few articles on AC and even managed an hour or two on Morrowind.

Has anybody out there ever tried to build a dock? Wow, talk about red tape. Here in
Florida if you don’t already have one, you may never get one. Seems the Feds are really out to stop the Dock builders.

You have as many codes to build a dock as there are to build a house! Local, county, state and the feds stick their fingers in the mix. Then the different federal agencies fight over what’s left…

I read an article today that stated docks on deep water can add as much as a million dollars to the value of your property. Then it went on to give examples of some property deals in the north east.

A very interesting piece of work on real estate prices in relation to docks, and well worth a look. Funny what you find researching an article.
